| Pfizer Files Lawsuit Against JetAngel For Using Viva Viagra Logo
Date:7th October 2008
According to a striking revelation, Pfizer Incl., the manufacturer of the anti-impotency medicine Viagra recently filed a lawsuit against the company JetAngel over positioning Pfizer's Viva Viagra logo on a missile that halted in front of Pfizer's 42nd Street headquarters last month and was also led through the entire Manhattan.
JetAngel, the scarcely popular company, is known to specialize in a specific type of outdoor advertising that includes positioning logos on military equipments for visibility. However, this concept takes advantage of the marketing capabilities of mobile billboards and provides consumer experience for the purpose of achieving the ultimate viewer engagement. It is found to be exactly a non-traditional medium and it aims at connecting the consumer's attention with an advertising message that yields positive results. But, with this new advertising module using Pfizer's Viva Viagra logo, it has proved to be entirely annoying for the pharmaceutical company and as such the drug maker has filed a lawsuit in the New York federal court against JetAngel for misusing the Viagra trademarks.
However, Pfizer is doubly annoyed as a recent e-mail from JetAngel stated their intention to parade Viva Viagra logo embedded Viagra Missile next week and that on top of the Viagra Missile, there would be two models distributing free condoms.
Altogether, it is known that JetAngel is planning to take the Viagra missile on a 12 day city tour where models would be distributing free condoms showing pictures of Barack Obama and John McCain.
