| Sexually Transmitted Diseases On The Rise Among Older Men Due To Viagra Usage

According to doctors in Britain, older men have increasingly fallen prey to several sexually transmitted diseases and the Pfizer manufactured erectile dysfunction drug Viagra has been found to be chiefly responsible for it. A British health information clarifies that the occurrence of gonorrhea and several other sexual infections among men aged between 45 to 64 has been more than tripled, which is further evaluated as more than four times increase in comparison to the prevalence of gonorrhea and similar other sexual disorders in the teenage group.
John Dean, president of the International Society for Sexual Medicine makes it apparent that the anti-impotency medication Viagra has encouraged sexual promiscuity in men which has further accelerated the contraction of sexually infectious ailments. He further elaborates that Viagra has provided a greater amount of freedom for men to indulge in sexual intercourse with more than one partner.
However, Dr Rob Williams, director of Menz Medical Christchurch states that older men who visit prostitutes and frequently exchange sexual partners are at risk of falling prey to sexually transmitted diseases. As per him some of these older people visit his clinic to get themselves checked for sexually transmitted ailments after indulging in extramarital sexual relations.
