| Court Ruling Orders Confiscation Of £1.2m From Fake Viagra Maker
Date: November 4, 2006
The appeal court in London slapped a fine of £1.2 million on Allen Valentine after the charges levied against him by the Harrow Crown Court of indulging in conspiracy to supply class C drugs between January 1 2001 and April 21 2004 and other two charges involving Trade Marks Act and Medicines Act were found to be true.
Allen Valentine was found guilty of these criminal activities on October 2004 by the Harrow Crown Court and as a consequence a confiscation order of £1,216,940 was issued against him. He challenged the verdict in the London appeal court but Lord Justice Scott Baker refused to exonerate him of the charges declaring him guilty on every account.
After a police raid on Valentine's Viagra factory in April 2004 he was charged and dragged to court. Allen Valentine was found to be the owner of Europe 's largest Viagra factories and according to the prosecution, his warehouse in Watford produces 500,000 fake Viagra tablets on a daily basis.
It was later known that just before he was handcuffed, Valentine, the 46 year old counterfeit Viagra maker spent £1.25m in purchasing one of the country's most costly mansions and also bought a new Jeep Cherokee worth £26,500.
