| Viagra Sales In India Increases Drastically On Account Of NRIs
Date: January 12, 2007
Taking advantage of the cheap price of the erectile dysfunction drug Viagra in India , the NRI are purchasing Viagra pills at inexpensive rates from places such as Surat , Navsari and Valsad in Gujarat and selling them abroad where Viagra comes at a much bigger price. The Indian version of Viagra cost as little as Rs15 to Rs20 per pill while Viagra in foreign countries is priced at $12 per tablet which is 450 to 550 rupees in Indian currency.
According to Mukul Choksi, a sexologist residing in Surat , the NRIs residing in US, UK and Canada proceed straightaway towards a sexologist after entering India , obtain Viagra prescriptions and then sell off the pills abroad. He further elaborates that in this way they make a huge amount of money.
The trend of buying Viagra pills in India and then selling them off at foreign shores is catching up and has really reached the peak during the Christmas this time.
