The British biotechnology company Vectura has manufactured a new erectile dysfunction drug known by the medical name VR004 and it is further known that the drug has shown clinically successful results with 83 per cent people from among the 600 tested, showing increase in sexual performance on use of this drug. According to Alan Riley, the Principal Investigator of Phase II study of VR004, it is encouraging that in the clinical studies, the successful results of the drug were demonstrated in two separate experiments.
Regarding the effectiveness of this new drug VR004, Dr Chris Blackwell, the chief executive of the manufacturing company Vectura, states that this medication is unlike Viagra and it has fast emerged as an effective and secure form of treatment for male erectile dysfunction.
VR004, produced by the company Vectura is found in the form of fine powder and is administered by using a specific 'Aspirair' inhaler. Further, this medication is effortlessly absorbed by the alveoli in the lungs and never gets trapped in the throat. Unlike the general sex pills that take an hour before getting digested in the system, the inhalable Viagra makes its entry into the blood through lungs and shows effect within 60 seconds.
It is further known that research is going on to produce VR400; a new version of VR004 in order to help women overcome sexual problems.
