| Viagra Maker Pfizer Expects Huge Increase In Earning

The world's largest drug manufacturing company Pfizer Incl. recently revealed that in 2006 the company has increased its earnings by 5 cents to 2.05 per share and also expressed expectation over the increase in the company's earnings in the next two years.
Drug production by the company is likely to increase with Pfizer's chief executive stressing on his expectation of a sudden increase in the number of drugs tested in the final stage period. Pfizer's market performance has not been so satisfactory in the recent years for the reason that the company had not been able to produce superb drugs like its own product Viagra. But now the company has announced that the number of medicines recommended for final testing has been doubly increased from 2004, with the number of drugs becoming 38 from 21.
Pfizer has been increasing its investments to manufacture drugs for obesity, cancer and cardiovascular disease and as such a new drug manufactured by the company to treat obesity is currently under the review of the Food and Drug Administration. Further, a revelation by confidential sources has confirmed that the drug company's three new anti-cancer drugs are in the offing.
