| Viagra Maker Pfizer Gear Up To Lower Costs By Terminating the Jobs of 10,000 Employees

In order to compensate for the loss of revenues worth $14 billion as well as for the competition from generics, Pfizer Pharmaceuticals, the manufacturer of the erectile dysfunction drug Viagra has announced to reduce 20% of its work force, which would amount to the dismissal of 10, 000 employees throughout the world.
This new initiative by Pfizer would lead to the cutting of employee's jobs across Canada , United States , Germany , Japan and France . In the US , Pfizer's decision to reduce workforce would principally affect the people working in the research sites of New York , Michigan and Nebraska.
This is the second cost reduction plan announced by Pfizer to make up for its losses. |
