| Spam Viagra E-mails Are On The Rise

According to a recent report, it has become evident that spam emails have been used as a latest tactic in the illegal sale of Viagra and other drugs and also to facilitate porn offers. The use of complex image spam and Office spam, a kind of unsolicited commercial e-mail in which malicious code is embedded in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint by criminal organizations to meet their ends has raised concern across the globe.
Robot networks, commonly known as botnets are increasingly used by criminal to meet their illegal ends and this practice is on the rise day by day. An e-mail vendor Postini reports that the use of unwanted commercial emails to further illegal drug dealing has reached the worst state.
A California based firm San Carlos reveals that there has been a whooping 59 percent increase in spam e-mails among the 70 billion e-mails that Postini processed from September to November which has further escalated the level of junk e-mails to 91 percent of emails sent.
